HIRE A COMPUTER TUTOR – by the hour.

This is new and unique service from Age Concern Dorchester. Just like you would hire a plumber to sort out your pipes or an electrician to sort out your wiring, you can now hire a computer tutor to sort out gaps and frustrations in your computer knowledge! On the other hand, you may want to test drive a computer to see if you like them, if so, this is the service for you!

You can hire a tutor to:

• Guide you through the basic workings of a computer
• Give you a taste of what a computer can do
• Learn what email
• and the internet could do for you
• Brush up on your basic skills
• Find an easier way of surfing the net or using your email
• Solve a longstanding problem you’ve had with Word, Excel or Access
• Make life easier by solving that problem with your digital camera
• Help with or solve any problem or frustration you have come up against

You can combine any of the above suggestions with any others you may have.

We would like offer this service to you as quickly as possible, so slots will be allocated when a tutor has a spare session. Therefore, if you sign up you should expect to receive a telephone call at short notice.

Please specify on your application form your precise needs so we can allocate the right tutor to you.

Fee: £6 in the Mouse House

£11 per hour + 40p per mile travelling, if at home (Subject to where you live)
