AN INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY – a short course

This course aims to introduce you to photography the digital way.

If you only want to take pictures, print and email to your family and friends, this is the course for you.

We will show you how to take your photographs, load into computer and produce high quality enlargements.

Subjects to be covered on the course include:-

  • Using a digital camera

  • Camera modes

  • Image resolution and file types

  • Memory card and batteries

  • Transferring images to thecomputer

  • Opening new folder, naming files

  • Saving on the hard disc

  • CD-Rom’s, CD-R’s and CD-RW’s

  • Printing pictures in Word or Publisher

  • E-mailing pictures as attachments

  • Using a scanner to copy photographs

You will be able to print 2 high quality photographs at a cost of £1 per copy.

Please bring with you, your still camera, all its software leads, or you will not be able to do the course. Also please bring a CD-RW to archive your pictures.

Course fee: £16

Course duration: 3 weeks, one hour per session. (Monday am Friday pm)
