Ferndown Introduction
Our Forum was launched in November 2008.
Our purpose is to ‘Give a Voice’ to people living in:
Ferndown, Ashley Heath, Hampreston, Heatherlands, Longham, St. Ives, St. Leonards, St. Leonards, West Moors and West Parley.
Our theme is TAKING ACTION on local issues and provision of beneficial information to residents in our Area.
What we aim to do:
- To promote, empower and improve the quality of life for residents over 50 by providing open meetings for discussion on issues of concern, whether local, regional or national and to take action where appropriate.
- To liaise with other local organisations, where appropriate, and present the views and concerns of the forum to decision makers in local, regional and Government authorities.
- To provide forum members with information on subjects of interest and concern.
- To encourage social contact through the Forum’s open meetings.
- To be an independent, democratic, non-party political, non-profit making Forum.
- To welcome participation of all members regardless of their disability, ethnicity, gender, sexuality or religious beliefs.
