Lyme Regis Introduction

lymeForumLogo2PeopleWelcome to the Lyme Regis and Uplyme Forum News and discussion page. The Action Forum of Lyme Regis and Uplyme was established in February 2001 to champion the issues that affect the senior members of our Forum i.e. those local people over the age of 50 years.

In the past, we have taken action over local issues such as bus shelters, road repairs and transport. We have also added our voices to national concerns such as pensions and council tax.

The Action Forum generally meets on the third Wednesday of the month in February, April (AGM), May, September, November and December (Social Event),  2.15pm in the Old School Hall of the Catholic Church, Silver Street, Lyme Regis. There is ample car parking available in the Church Car Park that is accessed from Pound Road.

The Action Forum has firm links with other Dorset senior forums. If we are to achieve our aims, we cannot work in isolation. We need YOUR local knowledge and input!

Action Forum Aims

  • To seek to work with all statutory and non-statutory bodies, charities, organisations and groups who have a specific interest in the well being of older people.
  • To act as a ‘voice’ for the common interests of older people.
  • To be non-party political.
  • To raise sufficient funds, donations and grants to pay for the Forum’s work.

Supported by:

  • Lyme Development trust
  • West Dorset District Council
  • Dorset Association of Senior Forums.
