I was born in Looe in Cornwall and spent my childhood there and went to both Primary and Grammar School in Liskeard.

I came to Dorchester in 1958 to work for the Government at Winfrith and lived in South Court Avenue. I retired to live in Broadmayne.

I remember Ungarettes Chocolate Shop at Top o’ Town and Eldridge Pope Brewery. Also the Old Bridge Hotel at the bottom of town, Lott and Walne in London Road and Dunfords Fish and Chip Shop in Damers Road
