The fossil man of Charmouth

I remember an elderly man called Barney Hansford who lived in Charmouth.
He was born in 1900. He had a big beard and collected fossils. I saw him sometimes on the beach. I didn’t know him well as people at the top of Charmouth didn’t know the people at the bottom, and we were from the top and he lived in the bottom.
There’s a place in Charmouth now called Barney’s Close which was where he had an exhibition of fossils.
