Reluctant soldier
Albert Miller writes ....
I went to Dorchester Grammar School in Culliford Road. They were normal school days and my parents gave up a lot to get me educated.
During the war I was called up and went into the Leicestershire Yeomanry as a very reluctant soldier. After the war I came home and worked at the Dorchester Brewery for 14 years and then joined Edwards and Keeping as an accountant for several years. I worked as an accountant for several firms until I retired.
In my early years I enjoyed football and cricket. There have been so many changes in Dorchester over the years and just went with the flow. I was a member of the Dorchester Conservative Club for many years.
