Age Concern Dorchester invites you...

memCalendarThumb... to take a ‘Walk back in time’ with its nostalgic calendar for 2011.

As part of the charity’s on-line project ‘Dorset’s Living Memories’, thirteen photographs  have been selected  and perfectly illustrate Dorset of bygone age from the 1930s to the 1960’s making this a  stunning calendar to grace anyone ‘s home.

Joyce Ray, from Dorchester who’s 1932 school photo graces October said “It’s really exciting, who’d thought I’d be a ‘Calendar Girl” at 87 years old!”

Other pictures featured include, days out in Weymouth, haymaking at Grimstone and even a wartime wedding.

The  ‘Dorset Living Memories’ calendar is available now from Age  concern Dorchester, 4 Prince of Wales Road, Dorchester DT1 1PW, priced £4.99 + £1 p & p.

Do you need to make or change a Will?

Need to make or change a Will? It is a good idea to take a fresh look at your Will every two or three years and certainly afterwillDocument every major life change. A valid Will is vital if you want to avoid any misunderstandings after your death. During what will be a very distressing time, you don’t want your loved ones to have the additional burden of trying to second-guess what you might have wanted.

Every few months Age Concern Dorchester and Age Concern Bridport have surgeries where individuals can come and ask an expert questions about wills, inheritance tax and enduring powers of attorney. There are more surgeries planned in West Dorset; see our Diary.

This is a FREE one-to-one surgery given by Robert Bracher, Legacy adviser with Age Concern and Help the Aged.
